Drift Bridge Motability

Drift Bridge is a Motability Premier Partner, offering disabled customers Motability vehicles to help them remain independent and mobile. The Motability Scheme works by allowing you to exchange part or all of your mobility allowance for a new Audi or Volkswagen Motability car of your choice.
Am I eligible?

To be eligible for the Motability Scheme, you must be receiving either the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance or the War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement. If you are unable to drive, or choose not to, you may nominate two people to drive on your behalf. Parents or carers of children with a disability may apply on their behalf.

Leasing options

Two leasing options are available under the scheme:      

Contract Hire is the most popular option, being an agreement of three years that allows you to ‘rent’ a new Motability vehicle. The lease includes tax, insurance, after sales care and breakdown cover in the cost. To be eligible for the Contact Hire option, you will need to have a minimum of 12 months’ award length remaining on your allowance. This option has a mileage limit of 60,000 miles over the three years of the agreement.

Hire Purchase is the second option and allows you to buy your own car, meaning you can make modifications to it and can travel over 60,000 miles over the course of the agreement. The lease runs for between two and five years and to be eligible, you must be receiving your mobility allowance for the full length of the agreement. If you choose Hire Purchase, you are responsible for arranging and financing you own insurance, tax, after sales care and breakdown cover.
